Interior The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre

Lane Fox Remeo Centre, Redhill

In 2014, Remeo and Guy’s and St Thomas’ launched a landmark public- private partnership. As a result, a purpose-built, state of the art, pioneering respiratory and long-term ventilation centre was opened in Redhill, Surrey.

The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre is an extension of the Lane Fox unit at St Thomas’ hospital, a national NHS referral centre for chronic respiratory failure as a consequence of neuromuscular disease, muscular dystrophies, trauma, respiratory diseases, and obesity.

The Lane Fox Remeo service specialises in long-term respiratory support, both non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation, and in ‘weaning’ patients from invasive mechanical ventilation.

The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre continues to improve the way that complex respiratory patients and their families are supported on the journey from a critical care environment, returning to home or a long term facility. The centre provides the vital step between dependence and home through specialist support from a team of Consultants and respiratory specialist Nurses, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists. You can find more information on how referrals to the centre work.
